What scares me is who comes after Trump. A dim usually replaces a republican after 8 years and those elected seem to be getting more and more extreme. Will we elect a violent antifa in 2024 who'll sign EO's to open borders to all who will be entitled to full medical and welfare benefits without working a day?

Mark Warner is probably positioned well to challenge Trump. Disregard what you see on TV from him at the moment. He came into the Virginia governorship on the heels of both the dot com bubble burst and a republican governor who did a massive unfunded personal property tax cut to win over Northern Virginians who were being soaked in car taxes to pay for infrastructure improvements. He set his agenda aside and worked with conservatives raising fees and cutting spending to keep the Commonwealth's bond rating from tanking. He has marketable experience in precisely the situation we will soon be in.

I don’t see it happening.

It takes arms and ammo to start an actual war [as opposed to the Twitter variety lol] and the majority of people on one side don’t have much in the way of them. Could we see unrest? Absolutely.

War? I highly doubt it.

I've often said "bring it on," but I agree with you, I don't see it happening either.
Most liberals live in the cities, most conservatives live in rural areas and that's where
a fight will take place. Hell, many city folk don't even know the difference between a
Maple tree and a Pine tree. We rural folk know our land well, we hunt it, we farm it and
we won't be sitting at home waiting for someone to knock on our doors. We won't take
it to the cities, they'll have to bring it to us, they sure as hell won't "kick our ass" in
our own back yards and woodlands. Add that to the fact that most of us rural folk are
already gun owners (and most of us are proficient with our firearms), they are in for a
steep uphill battle that they cannot win.

I like both Warner and Kasich but I fear both are too mainstream to get elected.

There will be no war. Civil people understand people like you will be dead soon so its just a matter of waiting a few years.
 
Obama's attempt to start a race war, has run out of steam.

The new civil war will probably take the form of escalating assassination attempts by Socialists against conservative gov't officials, ... and Bill Ayer's style domestic terror attacks.
