I have lived in Florida almost all my life, I was never in one until I was 35, 13 years later I have been in 6.

that's just not true.
hurricanes have been whipping out of the Caribbean basically at the same pace since the beginning of tracking. Whether they hit Florida, South Carolina, Texas, Louisiana , or miss them all all together is kind of hard to tie to climate change. I'm sure Al Gore would try though.

And that ain't just anecdotal evidence, it is reporting the shared experience of millions there. Tough to refute.
Similar experience here with wildfires. The frequency of them and devastation level has increased markedly in California.
I have about 30 years experience here to attest to the frequency of the news coverage of them over time.
More and worse and much more $ and death to people and livestock and pets and houses and businesses etc etc ad nausium.
