Schools have been indoctrinating the young for the Victim Culture Cult for a few decades now, it is pretty much politically impossible for the Revolution to refuse the adults in the schools that have done so much service for the Revolution. What this proves is that neither the teachers nor the Revolution nor the political leadership cares about the kids, which we should have known as we watched education be thrown overboard for indoctrination, but almost no one did.
We the People need to wise up fast.

Yeah, schools have allowed them to be shot and killed to make a point. It is tricky how using school massacres made them feel like victims. They even have shooting drills to scare them more.
Saying teachers do not care about kids is so disgusting and insulting.

Simple fact contrarians ignore when it comes to private/public schools is that private schools can pick their students and either ignore or flush those they rather not educate. Makes most comparisons between the two impossible
And comparing businesses opening to schools opening is inane, businesses are dealing with adults, schools kids, pretty obvious you haven’t visited a school in a long time

Plenty of schools are safely open without having tax dollars thrown at them. What happened to following the science?
Other countries long ago opened schools completely with no vaccine and no problems.

What's the rush? The 'rush' is that science and data show with proper protocols schools are safe. The 'rush' is that the data shows educational inequality has great increased during this past year between the economic have and have nots. The 'rush' is that numerous stories are out there about the mental toll this is taking on kids. In a couple of years we will be reading many stories about how bad this has been for them.
If you want to give props to the public school teachers unions this shows how much power they have. Because for all this talk of 'we should follow science and the data' this is about neither of those. And there will be long term repercussions.

It's not his job to set policy. He makes recommendations based on the science at any given time.
And for most of the past year, he has had to keep it level while those making the actual decisions have been downplaying everything & giving strange advice about disinfectant.

I marvel how democrats can manage to ‘not lose’ voters over some of this stuff. I have five grand kids so in order to keep my daughter from having to quit her job I ‘worked’ as a baby sitter for months over the past year while the local school board dithered on opening.
Her and her husband were lucky I retired over the summer or I don’t know what they would have done. Well, they would become a one income household and would have had to sell their house.
There has to be tens of millions of similar stories out there. Without getting into the harm done to kids. To call it simply disruptive is an understatement. If the politicians really cared about working parents they would be working on this like their pants were on fire.
But they make up excuses to keep them closed. I’m surprised there’s not a rebellion.

Dems had nothing to gain by shutting down the economy.
They just erred on the side of life & health more than Republicans did. The "correct" priority can be debated until the end of time, as can the results of those decisions - but it's hard to fault putting life & health at the top.
