Too many people in this world are way to comfortable talking trash behind the safety of keyboard. It makes them feel invincible. They show one side in the real world, and the real side generally comes out when they do not have to actually have the courage to say something to someones face say, online or through social media. I doubt Ms. Rae liked any of that attention.

I was raised to know - as are most normal human beings - that social protocol and social expectations are exactly the same whether the words come out of your mouth, or you type the words on a keyboard. So, the woman sent a racist email to an anchorwoman's email (which hundreds and thousands of people do each day-innappropriate messages to persons in the media) and got the response she most wanted. How is that a win?
You're probably correct. She wouldn't come to the station and confront the anchor with that accusation...
So ignoring it and moving on would have been the thing to do. Or, if she was that offended and felt threatened, saving it and bringing it to the attention of management in case the woman continued to rant.
How should a professional deal with a crazy who confronts them personally with inappropriate remarks? Have security escort them away. A professional wouldn't consider a holler back...

I think you're wrong. She's loving this....
I don't disagree with the rest of your post...But that's exactly where those kind of thoughts and trash should stay. Behind the keyboard, sent to a forum or a file that can just be deleted and ignored. Now if the situation escalates, and Mr. Rae would continued to email her, or have gone after her personally...or after her family, then immediate actions should be taken.
Documentation is key when things like this happen.

Really? I don't recall that in any way, shape, or form. So I guess that makes "IIRC" a moot point...
I do remember Fowl stalking him though. And others.. And what she "researched" and posted on Amazon would never have been allowed here. And they allow (almost) anything here... Just saying...

The only things of "The General's" that I posted on Amazon were 1) his IP number, after he found my website -- after *you* revealed my real name on the forum, and 2) the threatening email he sent, F and C bombs removed to avoid censorship. Domains have the email contact # of the owner of the domain; he used ARIN WhoIs to find mine. The IP addys from his visits to my site, and from his email, matched. Of course your revisionist fiction is, as always, to blame the victim instead of the perp. I still have that email and that IP addy, btw, Toxic. After I provided them to both my own police dept. and the one in his locale, he never contacted me again. In fact, the last year of the forums' existence, he was gone. Probably stalked someone else, and went back to prison. I'm sure you remember Leigh, the older lady who had had a stroke and lost a good lot of her vision? Sure you do. You used to mock her frequent typos with great glee, "special ed teacher" that you are. You should have seen what he sent *her.* Fortunately "Leigh" is not her real name and despite his threats of finding her and putting her head in a blender, after raping her for days, nothing ever came to pass.
