According to the news network, Trump has "the authority to direct the Department of Defense to not use military assets to support a congressional delegation to military theaters."

However, CNN noted that it was not immediately clear whether the Defense Department was notified of the cancellation ahead of time.

The cancellation came one day after Pelosi asked Trump to postpone his planned State of the Union address in light of the shutdown.

Wrong again. Congress had agreed on 1.3 trillion for border security. Trump agreed with that, but before he signed the paperwork the cretins from Fox, and Rush began beating up on him for ignoring the wall. Suddenly trump changed his mind and demanded 5.7 billion. Congressional democrats are more than willing to approve the 1.3 billion he initially agreed to. End of story.

not sure what you are referring to.......my congressman got re-elected easily.......did any demmycrats get elected in districts heavily represented by Christian fundamentalists?.....

I don't know, but Democrats gained 40 seats and won the popular vote margin by 10,000,000 in the House.

Draw what conclusions you want from that.
