The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born

Someone's feeling the burn. Good. You evangelicals are no more true to your faith, or righteous, or heaven-bound than those fundie Islamic radicals that you fear so much. You fear them because you recognize an evil as deep as your own.

Have a nice Sunday, cupcake. Your time is coming to an end, and the world will be better for it.

benny hine?? lmao

It's out of context. Go write a letter to your Congressman explaining why you think America should be a theocracy.

It's not out of context and there are plenty of other parts of the Bible that say the same thing. The New Testament is pretty consistent on immigrants and refugees.

Now I don't think America should be a theocracy, but I do think this massive contradiction shows that the Right doesn't really believe in anything.

She's a Christian like I'm a 747 pilot. There are a number of Bible verses pertaining to how Jews (OT) and Christians (NT) are to treat strangers and "aliens." The most famous one, of course, is the story of the Good Samaritan. There are also quotes from Jesus admonishing His followers to care for "the least of these." Of course, conservatives being the selfish "I got mine so fuck the rest of you" types like good ol' Stretch here, they've managed to twist and corrupt even those words into meaning that they should only care about other Xtians. Fuck everyone else. Check this out:

"“The least of these” refers to other believers in need—specifically, itinerant Christian teachers dependent on other Christians for hospitality and support. That’s my answer to the title of this blog post."

I watched a TV show a few months back highlighting a family of 9 children living in a RV as dad and mom did their preacher schtick around the county. They mooched off untold numbers of congregations doing 'god's work'

'christian' grifters everywhere

I love the subtitles that "Christians" like Stretch and her ilk append to Bible verses. "Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself" (but only if he's the same color and religion as you and not like *really* love but just tolerate).

"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" (but not if they're brown, scary, threatening, you're unsure of their citizenship status, atheist, pagan, Muslim, Hindu, African, then it's okay to hate them and shoot them because forget that turn-the-cheek thing, Jesus brought a sword.)

Again, go get a theocracy going so we can be sure those such as yourself must bend your knee and adhere to EVERY single
chapter and verse in the Bible or else.......well...hmmmmmmmm...I know...................

Ah. Finally some truthiness emerges, as you inadvertently admit that YOU cherry-pick your holy book in order to maintain your belief system.... that is the antithesis of what Jesus taught.

Thanks for playing!
