I think you're confused by exactly *what* we are mocking. We are not mocking the devastation in the Bahamas, or the possibility of more damage to our country as well. We are mocking the Man-child in our White House whose self-esteem is so fragile that when caught in a lie, he has to make up an even bigger one (altering an official NWS map) to make a certain group of idiots think he was right all along. And then instead of focusing on helping our Bahama neighbors, or reassuring our citizens in the path of Dorian -- he focuses on his stupid gaffe and attempts to cover it up.

Exactly, I made jokes about myself while going through chemo, losing my hair and having one less breast. It is how humans cope, or at least it’s how I cope. It doesn’t mean that I have no compassion for suffering people because I find our President to be a joke.
