Some of my less learned posters need a primer on impeachable offences.

The President is not elected by popular vote.
The people are the people of each State. The nation is made up the several States.

It's amazing how some of the dimwits on here can't get it through their thick skulls that popular vote means NOTHING. The Electoral College vote is the ONLY one that matters.

As I posted this morning Federalist 65 and 66 give the example of the PRESIDENT (not just a judge) abusing his authority
by a treacherous treaty with a foreign power as an archetype ground for impeachment beyond peradventure.
That is exactly what Trump did, in the attempt to form a secret treaty with Ukraine. The precise example was spelled
out by Plubius as occurred "at bar."

Get literate or STFU, you Republican ignoramuses. :palm:

When has Trump ever abused his authority? Did you cheer when Obama declared he would act without Congress? Yes you did you hypocritical low IQ asswhipe. STFU

FACTUAL RESULTS OF THE OBSTRUCTION INVESTIGATION

Barr: Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and I have concluded that the evidence developed during the Special Counsel's investigation is not sufficient to establish that the President committed an obstruction-of-justice offense.

I understand it, and am not really that opposed to it, but it is not a system that always results in the will of the people of the United States prevailing.

Sure it is. Fairly. Population centers should not control the country. Too much group think in population centers. They do not, by far, represent the thoughts, wishes or will of the entire American population.

Barr, the fucking Trump lapdog and liar. Mueller objected to his lying report.

“The summary letter the Department sent to Congress and released to the public late in the afternoon of March 24 did not fully capture the context, nature, and substance of this office’s work and conclusions,” Mueller wrote Barr on March 27."

Mueller added, “There is now public confusion about critical aspects of the results of our investigation. This threatens to undermine a central purpose for which the Department appointed the Special Counsel: to assure full public confidence in the outcome of the investigations.”

"here’s what Barr left out from his quote: “Although the investigation established that the Russian government perceived it would benefit from a Trump presidency and worked to secure that outcome, and that the Campaign expected it would benefit electorally from information stolen and released through Russian efforts …""

That is a fair argument for why we need the electoral college, but it is not an argument that suggests the Will of the majority of Americans is the result.
