If the DNC cheats Bernie, will we see a replay of 1968 in Milwaukee?

Blood in the Streets..no you wont see that again..today's "protestors" take to their iPads

Milwaukee police don't use iPads as crowd control, do they?

If there's a perception that Comrade Sanders has been cheated at the convention and the Bernie Bros and Hos riot, do you think the DEMOCRATS who run Milwaukee are going to let them do whatever they like in front of the TV cameras?

Of course, Walt seems to think that because Milwaukee isn't a suburb of Chicago, there's no chance of history repeating itself. So there's that.

The DNC rigged the Primaries against the old Socialist fanatic, Bernie, in 2016 and will do so again this November.

The Democrats can see the polls showing that the overwhelming majority of Americans do not support bloody Socialism.

Chicago '68 wasn't just 'protests'.
ANTIFA and such only riot ( beat up people and smash a few windows) on a small scale

I'm shocked at how few JPP DEMOCRAT supporters seem to know the history of their own party.

Walt apparently thinks the 2020 convention won't turn into a riot because Milwaukee isn't Chicago, even though both DEMOCRAT-dominated cities that hosted (or will host) highly contentious conventions.

As they are today, the Jackass Party was divided in 1968. Senator Eugene McCarthy entered the campaign in November 1967, challenging incumbent Lyndon Johnson for the DEMOCRAT nomination. Bobby Kennedy entered the race in March 1968.

Johnson, facing dissent within his party, and having only barely won the New Hampshire primary, dropped out of the race on March 31.

Vice President Hubert Humphrey then entered the race, but did not compete in any primaries; he inherited the delegates previously pledged to Johnson and then collected delegates in caucus states, especially in caucuses controlled by local DEMOCRAT Party bosses. Sound sorta familiar?

After Kennedy's assassination on June 5, 1968, the Jackass Party's divisions intensified. The delegate count showed VP Humphrey with 561.5 (DEMOCRAT math), Kennedy had 393.5, the night he died, and Gene McCarthy sucked the hind tit with 258.

Kennedy's murder left his delegates up for grabs. What happened next should be of interest to the modern reader.

Support within the party was divided between Gene McCarthy, who ran a radical anti-war campaign and was seen as the youth candidate

Old man Humphrey was widely considered to be the candidate representing the "moderates".

Guess what happened at the convention in 1968 when the young, passionate baby boomers thought their guy was getting the shaft from the old guard?

Some liberal boomers are still angry about the way the Party bosses fucked them over.

Um...indeed!

Which candidate do you suppose ANTIFA and the Occupy crowd are likely to be supporting in Milwaukee this summer?

If they think Bernie is getting fucked the way the DEMOCRAT bosses fucked Gene McCarthy in 1968, anything is possible.

Um...indeed!

Please take 15 minutes to watch the video, Earl. It's a couple of old lefties telling the world what happened the last time the DEMOCRATS denied young voters a fair shake. It's worth watching, even as a refresher course, IMO.

Milwaukee cops arent exactly known as a bunch of Officer Friendly types...LOL To say the least.

“As the police escalated the situation,” and “pigs,” and “despite police attacks.”

These radical anarchists never change, do they?

Heh heh. That's right. Party raiding is a thing in the primaries.

Sure, but I'm talking about the general election too. That's the election that you need the independent and centrist vote to win. Bernie has that vote. So why wouldn't the DNC want him to win the primary?
They're not afraid of him losing to Trump. They're afraid that he might beat Trump.

“Bernie has the independent and centrist vote.”

Horse mierda, Pebble by Pebble.

Check the polls on support for Socialism in America.

Are you ill, Pebble by Pebble? You are posting nonsense.

No, I don't watch Fox News (as a rule), and the Hill story you cited contains exactly zero examples of members of the "Republican establishment" expressing any anxiety about the possibility of Bernie being the DEMOCRAT candidate.

Do you think Jacob Palmieri, a senior at University of Maine, is a "member of the "Republican establishment"?

Even if you do, here's what he said: "“You look at Trump, he’s got this base of supporters, is really unmovable. This helped him through impeachment, helped him win the Republican establishment in 2016. Bernie, we don’t agree with him on anything, but he has that same thing. Does Bernie have the ability to get moderate Republicans to come over to him? Not really. He’ll end up really only getting that base out.”

Does that sound like Jacob Palmieri, a senior at University of Maine, expressed any anxiety about the possibility of Bernie being the DEMOCRAT candidate.

In fact, since the story states "The views of the Republican faithful contrasts with the views of moderate DEMOCRATS who worry Sanders will remain vulnerable to Republican attacks over his views," it appears to contradict your assertion.

I have to wonder whether you actually read the story that you offered as "proof" that "the Republican establishment" has expressed any anxiety about the possibility of Bernie being the DEMOCRAT candidate.

Well if you did watch Fox once in a while, you'd know that the pundits are shitting themselves in fear over Bernie.

You must not have read the entire article. Yes, Palmieri doesn't think Bernie can win, or at least that's what he's saying. However, the Republicans see Bernie as a threat. Some of them are pretending he's only in the lead because he's promising free things, but regardless, they are acknowledging his appeal.

Also keep in mind that the Unhinged Right began smearing Obama with claims of Communism more and more as the election drew nearer. Obviously, Obama wasn't a commie, this was just done out of fear that he might win.

Wow. Where did you get the idea that "Bernie has the independent and centrist vote"?

Where did you get the notion that the DNC is "afraid that he might beat Trump"?

So you say. Post some examples, if you have any, but this time, it might be wise to review them first - in case they contradict your argument again. :D
