People on the ship are getting around the clock treatment. That is not the same as landlubbers get. China has a much bigger death rate. All countries with it spreading do. The ship stats should not be ignored, but they should not be seen as bedrock.

You like many are missing the point.

The disease does not cause serious illness in most and is self limiting

The differing death rates in China have more to do with their shitty socialist medicine and lack of sanitation than it does with the virus.
