In a local news interview with Pittsburgh’s WTAE on Wednesday, anchor Shannon Perrine pressed Biden on the issue, noting that viewers wanted her to follow up on the question that went unanswered the night before. Biden gave a similar response.

“You know, that’s exactly what they want me to talk about so we don’t talk about how they’re violating the Constitution now,” Biden said. “I’m not going to play Trump’s game. Right now, my entire focus is seeing to it that the American people get a chance – the election has already started – to have their say on who the next Supreme Court justice is. And that’s what I’m focused on.”

The Constitution says that the American people – I taught constitutional law for over 20 years – says the American people get an opportunity to choose who they want on the Supreme Court by who they pick as their senator and their president," said Biden, who began teaching classes at Widener University Delaware Law School in 1991.

The Constitution, which discusses the Supreme Court in Article III, says nothing about the people getting to choose who sits on it. Originally, it did not even say that the public could choose their senators – state legislatures selected them until the 17th Amendment put that power in the hands of the people in 1913.

students should ask for their money back. C'MON MAN

Probably has something to do with putting a Religious Cult Member on the Supreme Court.
actually it has nothing to do with the nominees ideology -Biden just riffs it as "they are violating the Constitution"

Then he proceeds to fuck up the text of the Constitution

“Whatever position I take on that, that’ll become the issue,” Biden said.

If your position is 'I will pack the court', then yes.... it would become the issue.
However, if you gave an honest answer of 'I vow that I will NOT pack the court', then there is no issue.

Biden's evasive response can only mean 1 thing.
It is the intent of the Democrats to pack the courts, and forever diminish SCOTUS.

the dems had better realize that if they want to pack the court they will need between 5-6 thousand new SC justices, since we will be adding at least that many the next time Republicans control the process......

What if a Devout Muslim, who believes in building a Kingdom of Allah in America, was being installed as a SC Justice ... any problem with THAT?
no. I have no problem with religious beliefs.
In fact there can be no religious test for federal office...you need to do some studying up.

If ANY nominee said their religion would guide their votes -then it become problematic -but only then

I'm sure the Devout Muslim, subservient to Allah, and following the Teachings of the Prophet Muhammad, would assure everyone that 'Religious Beliefs' would be put aside and that no one should give it a second thought.

that's how it goes -same with Catholics or Buddhists or whatever.

Of course being nominated for SCOTUS means they have a history of rulings
( not Constitutional mandated but precedent) and those ruling would be scrutinized for such

I think Amy 'Crazy Eyes' Barrett was a Law Professor at Notre Dame and was recently picked by McConnell and the Christian Brotherhood to fill a seat on the 7th Circuit Court about a year ago, so ZERO experience.

Some people can't put their religious beliefs behind them. They feel mandated by God to install His Kingdom on Earth.

"In a 2006 commencement speech at Notre Dame Law School, Barrett exhorted graduates not to make their legal careers an end in and of themselves, but “a means to an end” that is part of “building the Kingdom of God." Barrett is a judge on the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals and a former professor at the University of Notre Dame Law School."

--->but “a means to an end” that is part of “building the Kingdom of God." .
