DeSantis attempting to kill Florida Cruise Industry

I was waiting for someone really stupid to make that statement, and Yakuda didn't disappoint. If there is an outbreak on a cruise ship, it won't make a fucking bit of difference if you're vaccinated or not. You'll spend the next few weeks locked in your cabin. Why would ANYONE take that risk? The answer is, they won't.

Good so getting the vaccine is fucking useless. Thanks for the confirmation concunt.

Sounds like America

No, it doesn't. You Reichtards are the ones who scream bloody murder if the government tries to tell a business how to run things. Yet here you are, applauding the efforts of government to do just that. Make up your mind, socialist!

Why the fuck would ANYONE want to go on a cruise, COVID or not?

I agree, it sucks, but should small government Republicans be mandating who they can allow on their ships based on if they are a COVID risk or not?

The vaccine protects you from the worst COVID symptoms, but you can still contract and spread COVID if you're vaccinated.

So the only people who are at risk of COVID are the unvaccinated.

And people are going to stop giving a shit about the unvaccinated in a couple months, which means your likelihood of catching COVID and developing symptoms if you are unvaccinated increases by the day.

Poor baby just like a hapless cunt who whines when shit no longer goes your way. This protects people's freedom not to have the vaccine and still get services. You fucking Nazi cunts want everyone to walk your line, well fuck you I guess cunt

Royal Caribbean International is getting ready to sail from Texas and Florida once again this summer.

The cruise line plans to begin sailing six ships from ports in the southern states this July and August, starting with Freedom of the Seas in Miami on July 2. The company had already announced plans to sail from Seattle to Alaska on round-trip itineraries starting in July.

“This is it. Vacationers can finally plan to take their precious time off this summer and truly get away after what has been a challenging time for everyone,” Royal Caribbean President and CEO Michael Bayley said in a Friday news release.

In a press release Friday announcing cruises for sale on eight of its ships from U.S. ports this summer, starting with Freedom of the Seas from PortMiami on July 2, the company said it will recommend passengers get the COVID-19 vaccine, but not require it. The announcement is a reversal from previous statements and vaccine protocols the company submitted to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention last month that said it would require all passengers at least 18 years old and older to be vaccinated.

What is the govt mandating here? Do you oppose all govt mandates?

How is it "exploitative"?

DeSantis is mandating that the Cruise Lines (and other businesses) cannot decide who they host based on what the businesses believe is a health issue for the other guests. Cruise Lines can bar people for being felons, or having been disruptive on a Cruise in the past... why not for being a likely COVID risk.

Do you know what a Covid outbreak on one of their ships would cost them?

Shouldn't they be allowed to make their own decisions on this?

Prove I'm a racist cunt

Certainly, sir.

"St. Petersburg, Fla. – Today, Governor Ron DeSantis was joined by local legislators and small business owners in St. Petersburg where he signed Senate Bill (SB) 2006, landmark legislation aimed at stemming the tide of local and state government overreach.

"The bill takes aim at arbitrary lockdowns, vaccine passports and enhances emergency preparedness for future emergencies."

no business or government entity will be able to deny you services based on your decision.

I was unaware of the business portion. I'm not sure that is constitutional. But I will go on record as being opposed to the business portion.

I love how he doubles down on his stupidity. If cruise ships can't ask passengers for their vaccination status, there is a high likelihood that unvaccinated people will be aboard a floating petri dish. And if there IS an outbreak, since cruise ships can't ask people for vaccination status, they will treat EVERY PASSENGER like a carrier. So, it isn't that vaccines are worthless, it's that being vaccinated is worthless in the event of an outbreak on a cruise ship. I should reconsider whether Yakuda should be in the running for stupidest fuck on the internet. He is certainly proving worthy.

He's not stupid, he's just dishonest and cynical.

Remember the cruise ships that were quarantined with hundreds aboard at the beginning of the outbreak, and how many died on them? Pretty sure they have a legitimate business interest in preventing that from happening again. But it seems like our fascist Reichwingers here want to use the power of government to interfere in their business decisions. Isn't that close to the very definition of fascism?
