There is absolutely nothing in the bill about reporting on immigrants. The bill protects people that provide services to immigrants. At this point I can only assume you are in a cult and can't read or understand English. No, it doesn't. It makes it a felony to report on "immigrants" and does so in a way that virtually anyone could complain to the state about an investigative journalist showing up at their public place of business and doing so much as to simply photograph the location. It is so vague in its terminology that it would have a chilling effect on any sort of investigative journalism like Shirley and others do as to quash their free speech rights.
Republicans don't give a shit about fraud. If you did you'd not be shilling for the most corrupt administraiton ever.
..The Democrats are trying to protect their donors. Immigrants that come from corrupt countries like Somalia are used to giving money to the people that run the government for protection.Okay...
That doesn't mean they're actively trying to keep it going. This California bill does exactly that. It would criminalize the public uncovering ongoing fraud against the government.
That is a wild accusation. There is absolutely nothing in the bill about reporting on immigrants. The bill protects people that provide services to immigrants. At this point I can only assume you are in a cult and can't read or understand English.
I'm guessing only liberal can pursue journalism without a degree in journalism..There's no such thing as a "real" journalist. All any journalist is is someone who goes out, finds something of interest, then writes about it in an informative, factual, manner.
So, yes, Nick Shirley is a journalist. You don't need a degree in journalism to be a journalist any more than you need a degree in education to be a teacher. Unions might argue differently but only because they want to keep the supply scarce to raise wages for their members.
Thanks for the logic fallacy. Do you want to contribute anything about the actual bill introduced in California?I'm guessing only liberal can pursue journalism without a degree in journalism..
- Brian Williams: Former NBC News anchor who attended Catholic University and George Washington University but did not graduate.
- Carl Bernstein: Legendary Washington Post journalist who helped expose the Watergate scandal; he dropped out of college to pursue reporting at age 19.
- Peter Jennings: Long-time ABC World News Tonight anchor who did not complete a college degree.
- Chuck Todd: Former NBC News chief White House correspondent who attended George Washington University but did not graduate.
- Anna Wintour: Editor-in-chief of Vogue, who did not obtain a college degree.
- Anderson Cooper: While he studied at Yale, he pursued journalism without formal journalism education, learning on the job.
These days only Leftists can pursue such a career regardless of degrees or not. The industry is so overrun with Leftists they exclude anyone that isn't, just like they do on say Bluesky or Democratic Underground.I'm guessing only liberal can pursue journalism without a degree in journalism..
