Face Time Fauci dithers on school openings

I’m presently getting paid for sitting here and doing this. How about you lol?

If Fauci told you to wear six masks and put a paper bag over your head you’d do, it wouldn’t you.

no, but i would happily put six masks and paper bag over your head, boy. then maybe you would shut the fuck up.

Here’s Fauci’s narrative:

The 79-year-old praised "Operation Warp Speed," the more than $11 billion US program for expedited Covid vaccine and treatment development.

"Operation Warp Speed has been very successful," he said, "and I'm certain that we will continue the pathway of Operation Warp Speed.

"I think, in credit to what has gone on in the current administration, I think that is a quite successful endeavor.

"I mean, to come up with a vaccine that is ready for distribution in less than a year, from the time the virus was dentified is really an unprecedented speed."

____________

Fauci seems to be saying that Trump set Biden up for the win with Operation Warp Speed.

That can’t be the narrative though, right?

I give Trump credit for Warp Speed- but he dropped the ball at the finish line.

He removed restrictions to allow for the scientific community to develop and test a vaccine much more quickly. To be fair, any President would have done that.

But then when they did, he had NO plan in place to get the vaccines out there & into people's arms. He fumbled the ball. And when pressed on it through December & January, he blamed Dem governors - because he was too focused on the big election fraud to care.

That's the narrative. It's actually indisputable. When the vaccines were ready, Trump did nothing.

Schools should be open. Period. So says the science. The unions are flat out wrong. If my kid can work every day at Target, then the damn teachers can do their jobs.

Your kid at Target can distance. Target has complete control over customers and masks. Target has barriers or distance. Your kid doesn’t interface with teens and pre-teens, up close, all day, in an enclosed space.

I disagree. Schools can be made safe. My kid cannot confront anyone not wearing a mask. He is approached all day long by customers looking for this or that, and sometimes they are loud and aggressive. On the weekends, you cannot socially distance in those types of stores, which is why all of my trips are made on weekday early mornings. You are much safer interfacing with teens and preteens than with adults, especially members of the cult. We've seen schools successfully open all over the world. I think this is a product of the teachers union flexing their muscles. I think at this point that keeping all these kids at home is doing way more harm than good. My two cents, but the science seems pretty clear on this one. If I'm going to accept the consensus of medical experts on masks and social distancing, then I'm going to accept the consensus on this. I initially thought that opening schools would be a disaster, but it hasn't been.

I’m pretty sure Fauci disagreed with that [partly because it was an indirect slam on him]. I’ll look for the quote.

But you seem to agree that Biden was set up for the win vs the CCP Virus.

I repeat. Target has complete control over customers and masks. Target stores are huge with large air volumes and ventilation. Interaction with customers is brief and transitory.

Inner city or unmaintained schools are neither ‘the rest of the world’ nor private schools.

Science says masks, distance and constant hygiene.

I agree that there need to measures in place, and that there must be money to ensure that those measures ARE in place, but the idea that teachers must be vaccinated before schools can open is not consistent with science. I also agree that inner city schools are more problematic, but this is not an impossible task. If CDC guidelines can be met, then schools should be open.

As for Target having 'complete control', all I have to do is visit one to see this is absolutely not the case. They don't.

Dems had nothing to gain by shutting down the economy.

They just erred on the side of life & health more than Republicans did. The "correct" priority can be debated until the end of time, as can the results of those decisions - but it's hard to fault putting life & health at the top.

Sure they did. Power over their constituents and making them rely on government as their "saviors". This whole thing is about power.

No one disagrees w/ that - because it's true. We were floundering on vaccine delivery and administration until Biden took office.

Trump didn't do a thing after election day. He was obsessed w/ the election.

And Biden did nothing. Zip. Zilch. Zero to improve that. He has just been following Trumps original plan.

LOL

Still going w/ that?

Trump had no "original plan." If he did, it would have been rolling by the time Biden took office.

You posted yourself the "nada" that Biden did, which included no fewer than 6 EO's. Trump did nothing, and had no plan.

Yes. Because I proved it. With Bidens own EO's. And you are just having some mental meltdown about that fact. Even your own fellow democrats on this board have admitted Biden could not do shit about it this quickly.

Biden did "zilch" to improve it - yet somehow, it magically improved after he took office.

And man, did it improve. Just look at the #'s. From averaging a million vaccinations a week under Trump, to a million a day a week after Biden took office, to just under 2 million a day now.

Results. Hard to dispute 'em.

I don't care what Trump loyalists argue. They're yelling at the clouds. History will be very clear & conclusive on this topic.

You may visit Target and see unmasked people, but Target still has complete control. That they don’t enforce no masks is on them.

No. As proven to you time and time again it is still Trumps original plan working. Have you bothered to notice no other democrat is rushing to your aid here? Wonder why?

Is that what you righties do? "Rush" to each other's aid?

I'm not a democrat, and I don't need anyone to "rush." You don't even know what Trump's "original plan" was.

Under whatever it was, it would have taken us 7-8 years to achieve immunity. Them's just the facts. This is boring me. Trump didn't do anything, and Biden finally led.

No. Democrats do though. Just face it Bartender, you are wrong here. Completely wrong. And that has been proven. Move on or just pipe down. Really easy.
