They are all on perma ignore. It's a shame because there are only a handful of conservative posters who are capable of intelligent dialogue. I know this because of how few replies I'm seeing from the right side of the aisle.
I suspect jobs will be reinstated with pay after the investigation.

Funny story. Ten years ago on another board, there was a very similar poster. It was my first run in with someone who actually researched me and posted all my personal information. A cautionary tale, but I digress. Anyway, this guy claimed he was rich, but sadly was dying of cancer. Both were lies. Turns out he was on welfare and had been convicted of abusing unemployment benefits. That experience taught me multiple lessons. I don't think I have to explain them to you

He never resisted arrest, so had they shot him, they would have been charged with murder. They thought it would be fun to strangle him a bit. It turned out that it killed him. That is a reckless disregard, and gets them murder charges.

The police are not supposed to be judge, jury, and executioner, whatever the person is accused of. It becomes very easy for the police to kill innocent people accused of murder or whatever else.
If anything, the worse the accusation, the more careful the police should be.

First off, body cameras are no where near universal. It is generally assumed that the police had body cams, but far from certain. There is a clear store surveillance camera video that shows Floyd cooperating. There is a park police body camera where the regular police appears to have not wanted the park police body camera filming them.

The question is not whether he was innocent or not. The police do not get to decide that.
The question is whether they needed to kill him to defend themselves or others. They continued to choke him minutes after he was dead. Assuming he was not a zombie, he was definitely no danger to anyone after he was dead.
The surveillance video shows him clearly cooperating with police. He may have been drunk, and slow to understand, but was not physically causing trouble. There was no reason to choke him in the first place.
Was he guilty of trying to pass a counterfeit $20 bill? Maybe, or maybe not. You would have to prove he knew it was counterfeit. His cooperation at least demonstrates a likelihood that he did not think he had committed a crime.
