Trump travels for business on the taxpayer's dime AGAIN!!!

Trump’s two-day visit to India may be a matter of pageantry over policy, but it served the domestic agendas of both leaders and, more importantly, the interests of Trump’s family business and Modi’s backers among the Indian diaspora in America.

Two years ago, when the US president’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., arrived in India, newspapers featured full front-page ads of the Trump princeling with all-cap headers screaming, “TRUMP HAS ARRIVED. HAVE YOU?” and “TRUMP IS HERE. ARE YOU INVITED?”

The all-important invitation was for a champagne dinner with the US president’s son, which could be snagged by anyone putting down a $39,000 deposit for a luxury apartment in the latest Trump Tower project located in a suburb of the capital, New Delhi.

He didn't totally strike out, for sure he probably concluded Trump business dealings in India, he didn't bring along the boys on the taxpayers dime for nothing

these are not "minor trade deals" That is NAFTA 2 and a reworked bilateral with Japan.

China is moch more difficult because of Chinese nationalism ( calling negotiation the "new Opium War")
and blaming "colonialism"

phase 1 deal with balance of payments, and force IT sharings is done with Agri puchases
phase 2 will happen because China is getting clobbered with Corona virus and a pig virus that decimated hogs

China is in a slow train wreck. "Made in China 2025" is a dead issue.
They will come around -negotiations continue -they have to

Long notorious for high trade barriers and a cumbersome bureaucracy, India had for the past two decades or three decades been slowly reforming and opening its economy. Under Modi, that trend has reversed.

Regarded as a business reformer when he took office in 2014, Modi has increasingly turned protectionist, matching Trump’s “America First” example with “India First” policies of his own.

I always used to hear about the Righties complaining about Obama and the occasional Golf match. Now, dead silence when it comes to Trump.
