Iran War Watch

Iranian Navy just ordered a U.S. warship to turn around and get the hell out of (the vicinity of) the Strait of Hormuz and the Americans complied instantly.Clear radio traffic caught every word: Iranian forces telling the coalition vessel to alter course back toward the Indian Ocean or face targeting. “Last warning,” they repeated. The destroyer didn’t argue. It reversed and left.In the very waters Washington claims to dominate, one radio call from Tehran was all it took to continue to dispell the myth. The empire can spin all the pressers and fantasies it wants. On the water, reality continues to speak and the U.S. Navy listens.

Actually, outside of Iran, where reality prevails, the two destroyers sailed through the strait and fended off everything the Iranians threw at them.

Iran sent some of those IRG puny motorboats out to attack the two destroyers and Apachie helicopters in escort with them, kicked the living shit out the bunch in minutes, sinking all of them.

So, no, the US Navy ships didn't "turn around," they sailed forward and curb stomped Iran's attempts to stop them. Iran might be able to send the stray drone to hit some undefended target somewhere, but when the target can shoot back Iran's drones prove nothing but target practice.

Trump’s Surrender Deal Is Immediately Dealt a Brutal Blow

A report that the U.S. and Iran are "nearing an agreement on a one-page memorandum to end the war" was met with almost immediate pushback despite President Donald Trump claiming progress.

Iranian officials said the US president has been sending a series of chaotic and mixed signals since Trump announced on Monday he was pausing “Project Freedom” in the Strait of Hormuz.

Hegseth Clings to Phony Ceasefire to Help Trump Evade War Powers Pressure

The Trump administration is tying itself in knots, clinging to an imaginary ceasefire with Iran that now remains in name only.

On Monday, President Donald Trump said Iran would be “blown off the face of the earth” if it attacked U.S. ships as part of Trump’s ill-defined “Project Freedom.”

Trump suggested to reporters on Tuesday that Iran knew what actions constituted red lines that would violate the ceasefire, but refused to go on record on what they were. “Well, you’ll find out, because I’ll let you know,” he said, without letting anyone know.

“One of Trump’s standard plays with respect to Iran is resorting to belligerent threats of illegal violence in the hopes of coercing Tehran,” said Brian Finucane, a senior adviser for the U.S. Program at the International Crisis Group.

Hegseth suggested last week in testimony before the Senate Armed Services Committee that the ceasefire undercut a 60-day legal deadline mandated by the 1973 War Powers Resolution for the U.S. to exit the war. (The deadline expired on Friday, though the White House can also extend the timeline for another 30 days to assist with the withdrawal of forces.)

“We are in a ceasefire right now, which our understanding means the 60-day clock pauses or stops in a ceasefire,” said Hegseth. He reiterated this erroneous contention on Tuesday.

Only two ships were known to have passed through the rejigged shipping lane devised by the Americans on Monday, and none did so on Tuesday. “As a direct gift from the United States to the world, we have established a powerful red, white, and blue dome over the strait,” said Hegseth on Tuesday. Iran’s state broadcaster dismissed Project Freedom as a failure.

“There’s this ongoing denial of reality by the administration about the global and domestic consequences of this conflict,” said Finucane. “This war is very unpopular. The president’s own popularity has fallen, and it doesn’t look like it’s going to get any better as the economic consequences worsen. The current status quo is untenable, but it’s unclear how the president is going to find his way out of this mess of his own making.”

Got a site that isn't on the extreme Left and openly hates Trump, because that's where The Intercept is.

So, US casualties are about 13 dead 250 wounded. Iran's--more problematic to determine--are about 2,000 to 8,000 dead and over 20,000 wounded. Iran isn't doing so good here.

Slaughtering unarmed civilians in cowardly sneak aerial attacks is not a mighty feat of arms to boast of.

You lie a great deal, little Chinese troll.

Miga can't grasp why the US military refuses to fall in line and die for the Epstein class.
As I heard about a month ago, I think from Alex Krainer, that the final end of the British Empire happened as British Men decided that they were no longer willing to fight and die for the bankers.......the Empire did not at that point help regular people enough to make it worth dying for.

We might be almost there.

The US civil war was basically between Northern corporations and Southern cotton plantations who ordered 750,000 poor Americans to their death.

Iran will control Strait of Hormuz 'forever', senior US official says

Iran will control the Strait of Hormuz “forever”, regardless of what any peace deal between the US and the Islamic Republic says, forcing Gulf states to build new pipelines to bypass Iran’s chokehold, a senior US official said.

Saudi Arabia and, to a lesser extent, the UAE, have managed to keep selling their oil because of pipelines that bypass the Strait of Hormuz. Saudi Arabia is exporting around five million barrels per day of oil via its East-West pipeline, which carries oil from the Gulf to the Red Sea.

The UAE has a pipeline to the port of Fujairah, which has allowed it to export oil at roughly half of pre-war levels.

Hochstein said that “$110 of Brent oil is only available on a Bloomberg terminal", adding, "You can't buy that barrel. That barrel of Brent oil is selling for $150. $145 some days, $155, even $170.”

“The Strait of Hormuz is under Iranian control forever - basically for the foreseeable future,” Amos Hochstein, an energy and Middle East adviser, told Bloomberg.

“Nobody in the market should look at what the deal says eventually and believe it. Iran will control the straits,” Hochstein said.

Trump said on Wednesday that the US would only settle for Iran’s “surrender”.

The Hormuz Letter

BREAKING: Trump's "Project Freedom" collapsed after Saudi Arabia and Kuwait suspended US military access to their bases, airspace, and overflight rights, per NBC News and Ryan Grim. The Kingdom blocked the US from flying aircraft out of Prince Sultan Airbase or through Saudi airspace, completely grounding the operation and removing the air defense umbrella protecting ships in transit.Saudi leadership was "furious" after Trump announced Project Freedom on Truth Social without notifying them. Qatar and Oman were also blindsided, with Trump only contacting them after the operation began. A direct call between Trump and Crown Prince MBS failed to resolve the situation.
