Something tells me that if the terrorists had been BLM members, you wouldn't be claiming that investigating their attack is "just a silly waste of time." Ditto if disappointed and crazed Hillary Clinton supporters had stormed the Capitol in 2016. You guys would have scaffolds with nooses all built and ready to go.

There's no doubt, unless his legal problems prevent it. Let's hope for lots and lots of legal problems. I see Toadstool Jr. and Ivanka the Simple got subpoenaed by NYS yesterday. Good.

It's laughable because Trump always gets away. He does have a teflon quality.

He has left a trail of utter carnage behind him in terms of those serving in jail, losing their careers or ruining their reputation. If there is a more obvious cautionary tale, I can't think of it right now. He demands loyalty, but bails on people as soon as there is a sign of trouble.

But people keep getting conned. No one really learns.

Not the issue at all. I am asking you guys, any of you guys,...if you honestly believe Trump will be brought up on charges and jailed? I know it will be HARD for you guys to admit the truth, but honesty is the best policy.

I KNOW that you guys KNOW,...hell,...we ALL KNOW,...so it really shouldnt be like pulling teeth to admit the obvious.
 
This whole Trump charged and jailed thing is nothing but a absurd little fever dream of the left. It wont help you when The R's take over everything after next November either. In fact it will only hurt. That is why I hope the fiasco continues quite frankly.
 
Can you even imagine the investigations that will take place after the R's take both houses this year and again control the White House in 24? By all means,....PLEASE do continue. ;) Do you know what the difference is? After all they have been thru the R's wont fuck around with you when they again take power. You REALLY WILL see your politicians in orange jump suits. They are going to absolutely come after D's like a pack of wolves and they will MEAN IT. No show investigations and show trials. The People will DEMAND it,...and they will get it. You are playing right into their hands. But....believe what you will. Matters not to me.

The GOP doesn't care about leading anymore, anyway. That party is devoid of ideas now.

You dont understand my son. The R's see this as the LAST round of a long fight. And they are correct to see it that way. If they dont take down the D's,...and I mean REALLY take them down for good and all,....the D's will do it to them in a few years. With a set up like that would YOU miss your chance to take down your opponent? No,...sure wouldnt. The D party isnt going to survive what is coming.

The point of the Jan. 6 investigation is not to jail #TRE45ON, although that is a most desirable outcome. The point is to find out what happened, who was responsible, what should be done about it, and hopefully how to prevent a similar outrage from happening in the future -- whether instigated by another Trump or someone else.

Whether he will be charged is anyone's guess. As Bartender pointed out, he seems to be able to get away with shit that would have you or me looking out through bars for decades. That's how it usually is when you are wealthy and privileged. It's only the "little people" who pay for their crimes. Just look at all the "little people" going down for #TRE45ON's seditious attack on our democracy last Jan. 6. If you have even the slightest bit of sympathy for those guys, shouldn't YOU be calling for the head of the one who set them up and then left them to pay the price for his pride and hubris?

That's hilarious. I've lost count of the # of times supporters of both parties have declared that it's over for the other party, only to have the other party storm back in the next election.

Unless you're talking about overthrowing the republic, tossing out the Constitution, and installing permanent rule, which I know is now the goal for many conservatives.
