What they have to offer Mueller may have nothing to do with Trump. So far, Mueller seems to be focused on the Russians. Now if Trump sold them out first, and then Mueller uses them to get to the Russians, Trump is exonerated and the dems get their Russian collusion crow served up steamy hot. It is your worst case scenario.
What has Mueller accomplished that that FBI was not capable of accomplishing....IF THEY WANTED TO? He is wasting money.....and marking time in place....HOPING the left will win back the house. To bad THE PEOPLE will overwhelmingly vote to keep the TRUMP TRAIN on track....and then the fun begins when the REAL INVESTIGATION begins. The investigation is already in process....with over 50K sealed indictments just waiting for the Military Tribunals to begin. Yes....when there is sedition and treason involved in a time of war.....there is no constitutional court room for those charged with treason and sedition. Why do you assume Trump has surrounded himself with some of the greatest legal and military minds on the planet? He has already signed the EO making such a Military Court legal.....

I do believe that is why it is refereed to as a Special Council, an entity that can solely focus upon a serious of events that would tie down any other police type agency who have multiple responsibilities

Why do you assume that "Papadopoulos" only has to serve 12 DAYS out of a possible sentence of 5 years for lying to Mueller? Think JUDGE, think of the number of judges appointed by this latest administration. Let Mueller do his best....the judge has the last say. Wait for sentencing. No one is afraid of a "toothless" Mueller. We have the greatest justice system that money can purchase in the good ole USA.

It happens in lower-level crimes to low-level ppl because the courts want to clear the dockets, the PAs want a "win," and the system doesn't want to house and feed more crooks. This case obviously is different. Manafort's already been convicted on other crimes; he's the one with everything to lose at this point.

Which is why he would make a crap witness. He'll lead them to the russians which is where the investigation is focused. He may have information that can lead them to others or to documents. Manafort himself is too tainted for the witness stand. Cohen as well.
