At one point, trying to earn some extra money and find a backup plan to make a living if the politics gig didn't pan out, Swalwell got a p/t job selling floor coverings and window treatments.
She didn't say he "drugged and raped" her.
She said he once "rugged and draped" her.
This is just another example of the current generation's declining skills in the language arts.

I still find this whole Swalwell thing too convenient. He was the darling of the democrat party. They overlooked a ton for years. So why take him down now?

I think that the Democrats knew about this man, but did nothing about it until he got in the way of someone they wanted to run for something. That they tried to pass off, "I'll stop running for Governor, but will stay in Congress." for a week or two before finally just telling him to go away was clear indication that they weren't caring about him, just about how he was in the way....
