Russia puts the moves on the Ukraine (again), and it's somehow proof that conversions to alternative energy won't work?

Talk about a stretch of the imagination! But then again, juxtaposed facts coupled with generalizations, supposition and conjecture has been the standard approach by the current GOP and its sycophants for some time now.

Just an example of the sheer idiocy of the OP screed. People don't get Senate confirmations if you have one political party in a two party system take a stone wall defense....that would be the GOP, you simpleton! Credentials non-withstanding.

Also, you ban fracking due to the correlation of earthquakes that occur in the region of the practice soon after it starts...and a temporary extension of coal use does NOT mean you are against or stopping alternative energy source programs.

If this is the best "logic" the right wing wonks and corporate toadies have to offer, then it's the progressives, liberals and democrats political/social races to lose.

Why not just use the methane? Why synthesize the methane at all? There really is plenty of methane.

Germany sits on a mountain of coal. The also have many usable sites for hydroelectric power. Why not use them? They already have the coal.
