He should, it does not seem to be working for him however.... Look at his poll numbers, they are in free fall.
 
It's silly we do this speech once a year because "tradition"... He could just send an email if he wants and still meet the constitutional requirement of informing Congress of the State of the Union "from time to time"... So, he can just do it from the Oval Office and send an email to the members of Congress and ignore Pelosi.

Here! Let me give you a little precursor to the State Of Union Speech.

The State of Union is in Dire Strait, as the president has intentionally shut down our government, and millions of federal workers are having to work without pay.

Our president is being investigated for treason, while his Campaign Manager and Legal advisor is already convicted and heading to prison.

Our president has been acting as a foreign agent to Russia and is easing US sanctions on Russia- and pulling us out of NATO- as a Quid Pro Quo for their help in getting him elected.

And neither Mexico- nor American Tax payers are going to pay any more for any fucking useless Wall!

And all of the Obama accomplishments are still having a lasting affect in creating jobs here in America.

And the American Healthcare Act is now more popular than ever with Republicans campaigning for it now.
