When CFM or Bobb ran around using the N-word or other racial epithets against minorities, do you believe that indicated they were racist assholes? If so, then why do you think Guno should get away without being judged by the same standard?

FWIW, yes, I believe all who use such terms in a hateful manner are racist.

Has absolutely nothing to do with it. At this point he’s either trolling or since he’s openly rooting for a recession it’s not beyond the realm he could agree with guno and want a few crackas to die if it could change the election. (I’m not saying that’s a fact but just not out of the realm)

Of course CFM and Bobb are racists. Pointing out racists on the right is hardly a defense of racists on the left. I'm not sure if guno is really a racist if white people vote Democratic.

I really don't like the term racist because it is used to refer to nationality, ethnic group, and religion. The PC definition used in college textbooks is that racism requires prejudice + power so blacks cannot be racist and females cannot be sexist.

I feel like you read his comment differently than I do based on your response. I don't see him as defending people on the left. He saying a racist is a racist (or a bigot is a bigot) regardless of their political beliefs.

You yourself called it, guno's here to stir sh*t up. He's a one trick pony but he gets people to respond so in a sad sense he does an excellent job.

But it does expose people who love to call others racists, bigots and deplorables who buddy buddy up to guno. Partisan politics trumps all.

"Crackas" and "honkeys" are racial epithets like "spic", "wop", "mick" and "nigger". Allowing one group to say it but not another is racist by itself, not just the words used.

Now tell me Guno's post isn't racist and that you are okay with it:

The "Trumpanzee" label isn't racist per se, but the way it is used indicates Guno thinks "White people" are inferior to "Black people". That's part of the classic definition of racism: racial superiority.
 
Opening the economy too early will result in more Corona cases and deaths. It is not arguable. Will it provide a huge spike? It may. This is too early.
 
Meanwhile, NY's #'s are going down, despite its population density.

I guess all of the critiques of Cuomo "mishandling" things will fade away now...

I responded to a post by cawacko, who said the OP was rooting for it. I said I didn't see that in the OP. It would only follow that I was only considering what was said in the OP.

Now you can read between the lines and read anything you like into the OP you wish. I am merely pointing out that the OP did not literally say he was rooting for anybody to die.

And if you read the OP link, you get the real story. Montgomery is one bed away from totally full ICU capacity. They have begun sending people to Birmingham. Doesn't sound like any time to be opening up or having big crowds in churches.

I have criticized guno in the past. I do not agree with his choice of terms. I chose to overlook that and read the OP link.

I don't think participation here is possible without the ability to overlook things. Nobody gets it all their way.

You've been here all along as I have criticized guno in the past, but I know it's a big board with a lot of volume. You could have missed it. Doesn't matter. All I did was point out that the stuff you read into the OP was not literally there. All that other baggage being tacked on was part of the pile-on after the fact.

Given that we are still mostly flying blind because our medical experts dont know very much and given that our medical system is expensive crap and given how risk adverse America has become it will in the opinion of many never be time to try to avoid the worst of the depression by getting back to work as best we can.

I obviously don't think guno's post is ok or I wouldn't have said it is the lowest kind of scum. But I don't think he has a problem with Northern whites who vote Democratic. He is prejudiced toward Southern whites who vote for Trump and he portrays them using the bigoted stereotype of rednecks (similar to the portrayal of the dumb yankees in "Jersey Shore"). Guno is white.

That may be what he claims, but racists can't stop being a racist even if the race they hate is politically aligned. It's like the white racist who "isn't prejudiced. I like the good Blacks." If they are working with the race they hate, they are most often thinking "I like you so I'll kill you last." Does that sound too cynical? :)

Not literally, but when you call for Southern whites to rush to their churches the meaning if very clear. See the picture of those people posted by Dutch Uncle that was originally posted by guno to see who he is talking about.

A legitimate issue unrelated to the other issues. And, given that Montgomery is 60.6% black, it supports my post that what he is calling for will mainly affect minorities.
