America's threats are as empty as Trump's promises.

The US Department of the Treasury has now issued another waiver allowing the delivery and sale of sanctioned Russian crude as the administration seeks to ease prices during the war involving Iran, CNN reported.

The waiver applies to Russian crude and petroleum products loaded on vessels as of 17 April and guarantees the safety of shipments through 16 May, after a previous waiver expired on 11 April.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent had earlier said the administration would not renew the waiver.

“Treasury wants to ensure oil is available to those who need it,” a department spokesperson said, in an effort to explain the apparent contradiction.

Russia plans to send a second ship carrying oil to Cuba, Interfax news agency reported, citing Russian Energy Minister Sergei Tsivilev.

What it boils down to is that Trump will tell Iran what to do, or they will get attacked. He is always a bully. He does not hide his negotiation tactics. He brags about," agree with what i want or get bombed." Trump is a disaster.
I knew Trump was bad in values and maturity, but I had no idea that he could get away with being this bad. There is nobody inside who can slow him down. Their job is to tell him how great he is and to agree with everything he wants.
For example,Trump keeps talking about dropping prices 1200 ,1500 percent. That is so stupid. His staff knows better, but they are silent. Even a simple thing like that cannot be broached with him. If they tell him he is wrong, they can be fired.
Trump is a one-man wrecking crew.

Very significant segments of our population very genuinely and sincerely hate one another,
there's no reason to believe that such will ever change,
and while partition seems to be the only possible solution to me,
there's no real support for that either...on any side.

There's no solution that would lead to anything better than an ever worsening shit show,
and no realistic person can imagine one.

We have habitual optimists who insist America can recover,
but none of them are realistic about the extent and permanence of the polarity
or the real sincerity of the hatred.
