and yet his popularity floor cannot drop far below 40%.
Very significant segments of our population very genuinely and sincerely hate one another,
there's no reason to believe that such will ever change,
and while partition seems to be the only possible solution to me,
there's no real support for that either...on any side.
There's no solution that would lead to anything better than an ever worsening shit show,
and no realistic person can imagine one.
We have habitual optimists who insist America can recover,
but none of them are realistic about the extent and permanence of the polarity
or the real sincerity of the hatred.
