Trump is on one side making this request and it is Scott Bissett and Todd Blanche on the other deciding whether they will oppose his request and make him fight it, or pay him and potentially bury and seal it with no disclosure as some settlements are done.
Which was do you bet this goes?
And btw Trump says he will donate all $10B to charity, claiming he does not want the money, and in this case he might actually do it for some or all of it, if he thinks it reduces blow black and that is because he has absolutely massive tax bills coming up for the billions he has made this presidency and the billions more that will come before he leaves office. If he can get and donate all of most of this $10B he will offset any income taxes he would have to pay in his lifetime and for much of his kids.
This would just be added to Trump's DoJ "Settling" a case filed by Mike Flynn paying him $1.25M for crimes he admitted to in court and plead guilty to. There was no one in the DOJ arguing against this.
And this will be added to the lawsuits that will CERTAINLY follow from all the Top Jan 6th leaders, who Trump is currently having his DoJ undue all their prosecutions, as if they never existed and then these leaders who attacked the Capital will almost certainly receive tax payer funded settlements unopposed by Trumps Doj.
