How is it, that after all the billions of dollars sunk into pandemic ‘preparedness’ it was like Fauci and his crew were just getting around to figuring out if surgical masks were effective vs respiratory viruses? They acted like they didn’t have a clue so consequently the messaging was all over lot.

Fauci’s first position was they weren’t necessary. Then they were necessary. Then two were even better. Then it was masking *after* being vaccinated. Now studies have come out showing little or no correlation between mask mandates and low case data. Wtf? How did these people manage to be so clueless about such a basic subject as mask vs respiratory viruses?

Maybe if they spent less time collaborating with China on bat viruses and spent more time and money on *the basics’ of a pandemic the country would have been better prepared.

What a shame. I was gathering my information internationally and by using common sense. I think civilized people use best efforts to divert most of their bodily excretions from contacting other people who had no ability to consent to being excreted on. So, sometime around the time I learned how to walk and talk, my parents taught me to look away from people and cover my mouth with a tissue or a cloth or my elbow when I sneezed or coughed. I don't remember who taught me or when, but I know that most strangers don't like for me to pee on them or drool on the table they're about to sit at or drink from their containers.

Likewise, when the most contagious pandemic the international community has experienced in a century came around, and the entire international community of public health and infectious disease experts agreed that masking was a good idea, I did the decent human thing and bought some masks. I didn't bitch about my itchy nose or my sweaty upper lip. I actually clean my laundry, so I wasn't concerned about contracting diseases by continually wearing an unclean covering. I didn't pretend to develop asthma overnight or claim that my goddamn rights as an American were under assault because . . . it was a fucking cloth mask that covered a fraction of my face in consideration of the other living human beings around me.

Also, reminder to the audience that Darth Omar brought up Trump, as always, before I did. He's been running from Trump for months but just can't seem to break his fealty.

Get some idea of the scale here - virus can easily penetrate a cloth mask,and surgical masks as well
especially since they aren't sealed around the nose and mouth
Only a sealed respirator type mask can stop it

He’s hardly alone. Daszok was kicked off the WHO covid origin investigation team because he has been collaborating with China on GOF research. The big wig virologist at NC, Baric, has been collaborating with them. The guy over Fauci, same ditto. It was very likely a big cover up—or it least gives off the same stench like one.

Though Daszok getting the boot is a sign they are feeling some heat. With luck, they’re going to feel some more before it’s over.

GOF research was halted by Obama’s DOD but Fauci used Daszok’s outfit [Eco Health] as a cutout to work around the prohibition. Forget everything else, Fauci should get the axe for that. And people wonder why the lab origin theory was ‘mistakenly’ labeled a conspiracy theory for over a year.
