july 22 2019 A Louisiana police officer was fired on Monday over a post about Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), and another for clicking "like" on that post.
"This vile idiot needs a round," Charlie Rispoli wrote in the Facebook post. "And I don't mean the kind she used to serve."
The post was later deleted, but screenshots were circulated on social media.

Rispoli was a fourteen-year-veteran with the Gretna Police Department, while Angelo Varisco was also fired for reportedly "liking" the post. Varisco had been with the force for two years.
