What if there was an Impeachment and nobody cared?

^Priceless.

"High crimes and misdemeanors" is a phrase from Section 4 of Article Two of the United States Constitution: "The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors."

The Constitution gives Congress the authority to impeach and remove "The President, Vice President, and all civil officers of the United States" upon a determination that such officers have engaged in treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors.

Trump hasn't been charged with treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors you willful idiot.

Well maybe there are no crimes,

It is not a maybe. Schiff and Nadler are incapable of coming up with one that is credible and proven.

.....and in that case Trump would be eager to allow his people to testify. He would be eager to furnish any documents requested. He would be eager to testify himself.

He doesn't have to do anything. He is presumed to be innocent until proven guilty. The Constitution: READ it.

If the two charges against Trump are not "high crimes and misdemeanors", maybe you can tell us just what would qualify?
One court has already ruled that an subpoena cannot be ignored. All we have is a delay game, anything to push impeachment down the road, until the election is over.

But I thought extortion/bribery was a sure thing lol.

Aside from Schiff loving his own dramatic announcements does anyone give a shit about 2 articles
that are NOT "high crimes and misdemeanors"?

Nobody I know , or saw on FB even cared about impeachment before - now it's a laughable joke.

"Abuse of Power' ( so called "mal-administration" by Madison) and
"Obstruction of Congress" which is silliness embodied since the Dems won't even wai
for the court ruling on Bolton or file to compel aides to testify.

This is barely even impeachment lite.. It might even be dismissed by a vote in the Senate before the "trial"

Nothing like living in a fantasy world.

And for the sake of the presidency it needs to be dismissed.

This is lowering the bar on impeachment—and then lowering it again. Just by having the Senate trial it would lend credence to it; then all it would take to impeach the next president is for the opposing party to hold the House so they can ‘craft’ abuse of power articles. And around we go.

This needs stopped in its tracks.

ideally it will be dismissed for lack of a "impeachable offense" (high cime and misdemeanor)
