Those verses apply to just/moral governments: it’s not ‘un christian’ for Christians to rise up against an unjust or tyrannical government.

IOW, a just government isn’t acting unjustly by enacting [and enforcing] border and immigration laws that are designed to protect its citizens. And when the government turns against its own citizens Christians have the Green Light to overthrow it—even with violence.

What page is that on in the new testament?? Or did you read that in the koran or from a 1980's Liberation Theology written by dead nuns??

Christians are to obey human law except where that human law violates God's Law. Our supreme duty is to obey God. Since God tells us to also obey human laws, we should. But, when they come in conflict, we are to "obey God rather than men."

Obey God
(Acts 5:29) - "But Peter and the apostles answered and said, We must obey God rather than men."
Obey Man
(Romans 13:1) - "Let every person be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God."
(1 Peter 2:13) - "Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human institution, whether to a king as the one in authority,"

Christians were slaughtered like sheep by Rome. I would most certainly call that unjust etc etc etc.. & yet the Christians didn't revolt/riot/terrorism/did not resist etc etc etc..

IMHO they didn't even cry victim as much as some of the whiners pushing their poutRage here in the good O' USA..

They were prob to busy introducing ppl to the Christ, saving the lost, unlike today where the Church spends more time pushing laws & condemning ppl than than trying to save them...:| AMEN!!!!

Actual Xtian practices = whatever Stretch et al declare is righteous. This includes turning their backs on the poor, the suffering, the stranger, the prisoner, the gay person. It also includes adoration and worship of Trump.
False Xtian practices = when they get caught commiting rape, pillage, murder, adultery, genocide, theft, etc. and can't lie their way out of it.

So Jesus said to care for the poor, those who hunger and thirst, the sick, the imprisoned, the strangers, etc. Is He not God? Tell us again how you justify defying that in modern times?

He also said that the gubment giving help to those that are ignored by society AND THE CHURCH, shouldn't recieve assisance from the gubment, to do so is evil in the sight of the Lord.....

Some of the liberals must not know about Christianity dying out because they keep using it to make partisan political points. They think if Jesus said something he is some kind of authority figure. Religion does determine our political views.

Of course it does. So does our education (or lack thereof), our parents' beliefs, friends/family/colleagues' opinions, etc.

When discussing things with those who take the word of god/Jesus literally, because they see Him as an "authority figure," we will often quote from their holy book to show that in our opinion, they are misguided, if not flat out wrong. That's when the circus really gets going, as they do contortions, back flips, and back themselves into the lions' cage trying to defend their errors.

Oh dear. I mentioned lions. How unforgiveable of me. :laugh:
