What if there was an Impeachment and nobody cared?

The OP is on point.

The "plaintiff's" in this case against Trump were totally overwhelming.
I am a litigation attorney. This was not even a contest. Trump team simply rolled over and basically didn't care.
In the whole of it, they had one witness, the Turley lying sellout whore versus 3 other experts, and then there were 8-12 other
fact witnesses, and NO defense at all. I understand they will have NO witnesses in the Senate either.

Basically they have decided, Yes he is a crook, but he is our crook, and the system doesn't work, but it is broken in our favor this time so fuck it.

But as a case? LMAO. Trump was totally dominated and the "defense" such as it was, was clownish, antics based, non substantive
and simply gainsaid the obvious import of every fact. An honest jury would deliberate 5 minutes before convicting Trump. Not even close.
There wasn't a trump team. It wasn't a criminal proceeding. How could you be an officer of the court and not know this?

If the two charges against Trump are not "high crimes and misdemeanors", maybe you can tell us just what would qualify?
One court has already ruled that an subpoena cannot be ignored. All we have is a delay game, anything to push impeachment down the road, until the election is over.

Obama ignored subpoenas... So shut up

Y’all should sometimes look at the comments on decidedly left wing Yahoo! News articles which are overwhelmingly anti-Trump. The comments are at least 90% in favor of Trump or anti-Schiff/Pelosi/democrats in general.
on Yahoo news?? that's amazing.. Impeachment is now underwater in ALL the polls

Prove to us that swing states aren't going for impeachment!! You have no idea what you are talking about.

Poll: Impeachment is helping Trump in 3 key battleground states

1575892081799.png

Quarterly polling by the Republican firm Firehouse Strategies, with Optimus, had President Trump struggling in the mega-battlegrounds of Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin — but in the newest edition, he beats every Democrat.

The big picture: Trump won by an average of six percentage points in hypothetical match-ups against all current Democratic candidates, including Joe Biden, who was performing well in head-to-head contests against Trump in polling conducted earlier in the year.

The poll found that a majority of likely 2020 voters surveyed do not support impeaching and removing Trump from office.

What they're saying: Firehouse partner Alex Conant tells Axios: "Democrats racing towards impeachment are at serious risk of leaving behind the voters they need to retake the White House next year."

Methodology: The survey was conducted Dec. 3 through Dec. 5 and interviewed 1,759 likely 2020 general election voters in Wisconsin (N = 610), Michigan (N = 551), and Pennsylvania (N = 598) via live landline, live cellphone and peer to peer text message to web and has a margin of error of +/- 4.1% in Wis., ± 4.3% in Mich., and ± 4.3% in Pa.

Understandable lol?

After months of being lectured about QPQ/bribery the articles were an anticlimactic dud. The lefties know this they just can’t admit it.

Abuse of power? How about we go back and impeach Obama for turning Libya in a terrorist shit hole without congressional approval? If that’s not ‘abuse of power’ what is it? Things *actually happened* with that abuse of power: people died, a nation was effectively destroyed, the region was destabilized and it created a refugee crisis.

All because of Obama’s abuse of power.

And what happened with Trump’s ‘abuse of power’ in Ukraine? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING lol! It’s so absurd it’s funny.

Here is EXACTLY what Pelosi/Schiff/Nadler know: they KNOW there hasn’t been an ‘unimpeachable’ President since, ironically Nixon, that wouldn't face the prospect of being impeached for ‘abuse of power’ by a House controlled by the opposition. Why? Because congress has ceded so much authority to the Executive over the past generation and a half.

And think about this: compared to recent presidents, Trump has stayed between the lines. And they want to impeach HIM for abuse of power? Give me a break.

Pelosi and the rest know exactly what their doing, they know what it will bring in the future and they know EXACTLY how ridiculous it is. But they’re doing it anyway.

Despicable doesn’t describe it or them.

I hear you. Obama dodged Congressional oversight by claiming a"kinetic military action" bombed the crap out of Libya - so Ok no big deal  and *Congress Shrugs*

Pelosii is a craven power junkie who has no idea what the term "public good "is..It was hilarious watching her try to take credit for NAFTA2, and calling it a "non-starter" as negotiated *lunatic* -but Trump was cool with it "as long as it done" at the rally

The whole thing was another prepackaged Schiff show of making the proceeding fit the narrative.
it's all boiled down to 2 weak Articles

Aside from Schiff loving his own dramatic announcements does anyone give a shit about 2 articles
that are NOT "high crimes and misdemeanors"?

Nobody I know , or saw on FB even cared about impeachment before - now it's a laughable joke.

"Abuse of Power' ( so called "mal-administration" by Madison) and
"Obstruction of Congress" which is silliness embodied since the Dems won't even wai
for the court ruling on Bolton or file to compel aides to testify.

This is barely even impeachment lite.. It might even be dismissed by a vote in the Senate before the "trial"

I hope the Senate doesn't deprive me of my entertainment. Plus, I want them to hold the trial without hearsay witnesses, so that every single Dem witness is excluded from the trial, and we get several months worth of Burisma and the Senate daring Schiff to come perjure himself.

I'm sure you'll get plenty of Tempest in a Teapot type drama. Looks like they won't vote out a simple dismissal

Watching the Dems in Congress is like watching Live PD and World's Dumbest. You simply cannot believe that people can act-out so much against their well-being.

Right lol?

I read somewhere that republicans weren’t going to call any witnesses. Couple that with excluding hearsay witnesses [it’s an actual trial so why shouldn’t they be excluded?] put it all together and you have an impeachment trial where no one shows up to testify.

Perfect Ending.

Every time I hear/read the name Burisma, I keep thinking of coffee, owing to the Verismo coffee machine that Starbucks marketed in response to Keurig.
