No, they don't. They are utterly useless except as a 'good luck' talisman. Masks do not stop a virus. 99.97% of the population is not infected with Covid19. 99.998% of the population has not died from Covid19 related causes.

Yet masks are required to be worn by the general population. Why? How do you explain the so-called 'rise' in Covid19 infection rates when masks are required, and 'social distancing' is required, and so many businesses are not allowed to operate?

Masks do not stop a virus. 6 feet does not stop a virus.

Masks are not about protecting you from others. Masks are about protecting others from you.

They decrease the chances of someone who has Covid-19 spreading Covid-19 to others.

If everyone is wearing a mask...anyone who has Covid-19 will be less likely to spread it to others...making you more likely to stay not sick.

Masks are not 100% effective...especially when they are not worn properly...but they do decrease the chances of spreading Covid-19 to others. Look at NYC.

Vaccines are not 100 percent either. That is not the bar for medical procedures. Masks are very effective.

Just put up with the minor inconvenience of wearing the mask the few minutes a day you’re in public, you fucking asshole morons. In public, I don’t know who you are or who you associate with, but if you choose to not wear a mask in close quarters with other non-maskers, that’s your choice. But do us all a favor and make an effort to reduce the risk to the rest of us who have the good, common sense and common courtesy to mask up.
