Tennessee bans teaching critical race theory in schools

Dude, again, banning books and ideas are censoring information. Tennessee's choice to burn all the books they like but I disagree with the philosophy for the aforementioned reasons.

Americans should be allowed to choose without Uncle Sam telling them what to choose.

Got a link to back that up ???

You came back with this ...

The 9th and 10th Amendments.

Are you a native American born and raised in the US?

Apparently you are unwilling AND unable to carry on cogent intercourse on this subject ... and write a bunch of road apples about burning books ...

Keep on posting your tripe ... I shall not respond to YOU further

I fail to see what you are asking about. Do you deny Tennessee, or any other state, has the right to ban and burn whatever books they like?

I say they have the right under the 9th and 10th Amendments. What are you trying to say?

Thanks for agreeing they are banning ideas.

Bad ideas shouldn't be taught as part of a curriculum. Should we teach kids say flat Earth theories? How about young Earth ones like some religious zealots believe? Same thing here. CRT is a bad idea based on bullshit. It shouldn't be taught either.

Why do you think so many Tennessee teachers are so radical they are teaching their kids "to violently protest, incite hate, and act out against those that might differ with them" that the State has to ban them?

It's coming to Tennessee if it hasn't already. There are plenty of places across the US where "Social and Economic Justice" is taught using the concept of Critical Pedagogy and to include inciting students to protest and sometimes do it violently, such as the Tucson example where students took over a school board meeting and chained themselves to board member's chairs. The police had to physically restrain and remove them, as but one such example.

I'm saying exactly that, Oom.
I'm then adding that anyone with a different opinion lacks the intellect to legitimately offer an opinion.
If there's any thing more flawed than our convoluted constitution, it might probably be your interpretation of it.

The states that want that much autonomy should form their own inefficient shithole of a country.
We blue states believe in national government. We needn't be sharing a government with you.
Indeed, we shouldn't be.

I didn't suggest banning the book, but rather simply not using it as an accurate historical text, which it is not. Over a thousand schools use it as historical fact. That's wrong because it's a lie

Butch doesn't seem to understand the difference between banning ideas and limiting the government's ability to proselytize sociological theories.

Hat's off to you, neef.
You've always been good at spreading the bullshit.

Democrats looooove banning shit. This is proof Republicans are no better than Democrats.

Both parties have become authoritarian assholes who seek to dictate what can be taught and what cannot.

banning has it's place. this is a good use of the ban. use the brain god gave you, fool.

please explain how it's good to teach racism and divisiveness to the children.

Banning, IMO, never has a place. Restriction to adults has a place. Rules about harming others have a place. Banning? Name where it has a place.

It's not. Why would you think it's good to teach racism and divisiveness to children? Only a fucking moron would think it's good.

it has a place in the intentional teaching of racism to children.
