like i said, this is way too complicated for a stupid fuck like you to understand!! when a new virus hits the world, scientists have to have a lot of data to know how to fight it. as time goes on, what they thought might work the best, turns out to be not good enough. so they adjust their thinking because only trump and his voters like to be stuck on stupid.

Bullshit.

The virus has been around long enough it’s not so new anymore. There was clear evidence as early as late Spring of last year that kids and young adults have little to fear from the CCP Virus. Yet schools remained closed *in spite of* the science.

It’s inexcusable this late in the game. Open the damn schools up. All of them everywhere and stopping bowing to the teachers unions.

You'd have more credibility if you had even one comment about Trump's outright lies regarding COVID.

Fauci doesn't set policy, and never did. He has always erred on the side of caution in his recommendations, and focused almost solely on life & health. It's up to politicians and others to look at the other factors involved.

What do you think Fauci's "agenda" was? Do you think he purposely did anything other than try to protect life?

As has been gone over many times, the only thing the federal government was able to do was set guidelines. Literally suggestions, since there was no force of law. It was up to the states to either implement them or not.

This is where the Trump Virus narrative collided with reality.

Trump had little to nothing to do with what was going on on the ground. If you doubt that, look at what is happening with Cuomo. Newsome in CA is going to face a recall election over HIS mishandling of the virus. People are still rightfully bitching about school closures, not because of Trump or even Fauci, but because *local* democrat leaders are beholden to school boards.

If you were consistent with your ‘leadership’ criticism you’d be all over Biden for his failure of leadership on that: why isn’t Biden reading the riot act to these local democrats who are dragging their feet on it and allowing kids to suffer for mere politics?

But it all started with Fauci’s recommendations. Trump is gone and he’s still there, changing his positions like the weather in March. And here we are, still trodding through this dystopian nightmare.

And to think so much of it, was pointless.

You guys were wrong on masks, btw. ANOTHER study came out last week showing they're effective - they can disrupt transmission by up to 92%.

That's what I don't get: if everyone distanced, wore masks, washed hands & took this seriously, we would NOT have shutdowns and consideration of shutdowns. If everyone just wore masks, we could probably end the pandemic in a month.

You're trying to have it both ways. We're in a pandemic, and you think we should just ride it out by doing nothing.

If you oppose shutting down, you should be out there (and here) every day advocating for masks, and encouraging everyone to wear 'em. Not calling them "talismans."

He'd have that if he told the truth, which he is. What reason would he have to lie, or to make recommendations not related to health?

He's not a psychologist or economist. His recommendations are just one part of the equation. The scapegoating of Fauci is simplistic and wrong, but it's really who we are right now.
