I have heard that there are 60 votes in the senate to support Romney's proposal to give $1,000 to every American.

So you think EVERY American citizen should be given $1,000? What about non citizens? What about Bill Gates?

And what will $1,000 do while we are locked down for the next five months while this pandemic ravages our economy?

I mean if half the population of the country is going to die from COVID19, $1,000 seems a bit irrelevant doesn't it?

Why don't we wait to see who dies and doesn't? We should only give money to those who survive right?

I believe that Bill Gates and George Soros would have the good sense and moral character to realize they do not need a grand, and would donate the money to people who need it.

It is odd that does not even occur to you.

So tell me why does the 23 yo street drug dealer white or black in Chicago etc that has never worked a day in his life has never paid income tax pays no rent etc ..deserve $1,000?

Sometimes you waste more money off trying test everyone to figure out who the billionaires are then you save by not paying them. We can spend $10,000 for every $1000 we save, and waste months figuring out who is a billionaire, or we can waste a lot less money, and get it done today.

This is the fastest fiscal stimulus available, and with inflation low, even if it causes inflation that is fine. It is a lot cheaper than what trump is proposing, and a lot faster. trump's stimulus is going to cost us about 20 times as much, and has had lackluster results.

I am still on the fence about this form of stimulus. I know the economic studies have shown they work well, but those are still just preliminary studies. I still lean towards targeted fiscal stimulus.

I would not vote for him for president, unless he was the only option other than Trump*, But I have always thought he was a decent human being.

It is his first day as a drug dealer? I have never been a drug dealer, but from what I have seen on TV it certainly looks like work. It actually looks like hard work, not legal work, but hard work. If he lives on the street, and pays no taxes, the government would not even know he exists, so will not be sending him money.

Why wouldn't all you bleeding hearts that claim to care about those who can't feed their kids, can't afford medical care, etc. donate yours and prove your claims about caring are true.
