New York prosecutors are making another step closer to indicting Trump on criminal business charges. My guess is that Junior and/or Ivanka might be caught up in the net.

The development signals that the Manhattan district attorney’s office was moving toward seeking charges as a result of its two-year investigation, which included a lengthy legal battle to obtain Trump’s tax records....

...The investigation includes scrutiny of Trump’s relationship with his lenders; a land donation he made to qualify for an income tax deduction; and tax write-offs his company claimed on millions of dollars in consulting fees it paid.

The new grand jury could eventually be asked to consider returning indictments. While working on that case, it also will be hearing other matters. The Post reported that the grand jury will meet three days a week for six months....

Attorney General Letitia James said last week that she assigned two lawyers to work with Vance’s office on the probe after her civil investigation into Trump evolved into a criminal matter....

So let's say they indict the Toadstool and an arrest warrant is issued. DeSantis then refuses to let him be extradited to NYS. Can he be arrested if he leaves Florida, like for one of his Nuremberg rallies or to give a screech somewhere else? Do his Secret Service guards have arrest powers?
 
indictments almost always follow.....grand juries are only presented with the prosecution's side of the case with no restrictions on what is admissible or inadmissible evidence.......the left will cheer the indictment as proof of their lies....then, two or three years from now they will silently grieve when they are unsuccessful and blame their pain on judges appointed by the very target of their hatred.......

Prosecutors don't convene Grand Juries unless they beleive they have a solid case. A Grand Jury is oversight to ensure that the prosecutor does have a case.

Therefore, yes, indictments almost always follow because only idiotic prosecutors want to look like idiots in front of a grand jury and waste taxpayer dollars on frivolous cases.

Without knowing the charges, it's difficult to know if Trump could go to jail for his crimes, but a conviction is certainly going to put a damper on his party life.

Don't know, but it would certainly turn into a shitstorm that ends up with DeSantis covered in shit.

BTW, this is a State case, not Federal so the Secret Service shouldn't have any jurisdiction.

FWIW, I'm sure they can detain people while waiting for law enforcement to arrive.

Exactly. These stupid fucks think this means trump is going to jail. They would love to assinated him so there is no chance he runs in 2024 but that would be too obvious even for them. So they have to somehow take him out of circulation and the cunts have decided jail is the next best option. They are lining up the lawyers and judges now and will rig any trial like they did the election. It's a good plan but in the long run I don't think it works. But who knows they did a good job with the election.

It could mean Trump going to jail but that depends upon the charges and getting a conviction.

FWIW, I think Trump could literally spend a billion bucks on this and drag out the case until he's dead. OTOH, dead or incapacitated, the case against the Trump Organization would continue.
