Democratic impeachment inquiry blocking important action in Congress

Hello dukkha,

well then you probably understand hyper-modern school as well where the center is controlled from the flanks instead of/addition to direct occupation.

Schiff has tried the center. There is nothing there, no quid , no pressure. So now he's trying to use flank players like the bureaucrats to do it, but they are weak players because they can only say "irregular channels"
Which has nothing to do with POTUS purview, as long as he met the Congressional deadline for teh aid

Just because you claim there is no quid doesn't make it so.

You can believe that if you want to. I prefer the truth.

Facts are such inconvenient things to President Trump.

It must be a chore to blatantly lie all the time. They even made up a cool euphemism for it, "alternate facts."

Junior, study up on your alternate facts or you'll go to bed without supper!

up is down, right is wrong, Trump didn't break the law ….

i love how your beliefs are only the ones valid.
No quid: from Sondland and Trump's own mouth. no pressure according to Zelensky. facts -not"beliefs"

Sondland said there was a QPQ, and Trump was not speaking under oath.

Also, Trump cannot be believed. He is a very notorious liar.

Probably why he refuses to release his taxes, nor testify under oath.

Hello dukkha,

And Trump's chief of staff said so too. Further, Trump said so in his transcript of convo. I need a favor. Not our fault Trump chickens out and doesn't let his henchmen testify.

yes Sond did. and then he recanted under cross. he was left with "i presume" ( nothing).

Trump was speaking ON THE PHONE CALL -direct evidence

Consider next the opportunity costs of Congress’ failure to pass a drug pricing reform bill. Democrats and Republicans in the Senate have worked closely together on an issue that matters a great deal to American families: lowering prescription drug prices.
They have crafted a bill (S. 2543) that would significantly improve the Medicare Part D program, hold drug companies far more accountable and save federal taxpayers billions of dollars.

Unfortunately, this transformative bill is not progressing because the House is focusing far more on partisan investigating than bipartisan legislating. Of course, senior citizens are bearing a highly disproportionate share of this particular impeachment burden.

Now how about the lost opportunities associated with the failure to rebuild our decaying roads, bridges, airports and other critical infrastructure? President Trump’s 10-year, $1.5 trillion infrastructure investment program would raise real gross domestic product by as much as 2 percent over the next decade and increase real output by more than $1 trillion, with the higher output recouping some $200 billion in added federal tax revenue.

Meanwhile, Russia and China continue to reshape their militaries in manners that are designed to threaten America’s leadership in space. On a bipartisan basis, the House, Senate and national security experts have agreed that the military must counter these threats.

The United States Space Force, the proposed sixth branch of the armed forces, is an affordable and effective means to protect and defend the nation’s interests in space. Yet Congress is so paralyzed that it may fail to enact a defense authorization bill for the first time in nearly 60 years.

A distracted and divided House has also failed to pass a budget for the 2020 fiscal year. Instead, Congress just keeps kicking the budget can down the road with short-term spending bills known as continuing resolutions.

The American public understands intuitively that the impeachment circus launched by Pelosi and House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., is not just a partisan witch hunt. It is also a profound waste of time.

Passing USMCA, lowering prescription drug prices, modernizing our infrastructure, launching a Space Force, and tending to the people’s business will lead to more opportunity, more economic growth, and better choices for farmers, workers, families, and communities.

It long past time for the Pelosi-Schiff impeachment circus to slink out of town and let the 116th Congress finally get to work on behalf of the American people.

America’s defense-industrial base is being hit particularly hard by congressional addiction to short-term budget fixes. Exhibit A is our nation’s shipbuilding industry.

Shipbuilding is a long lead-time and capital-intensive industry that depends on stable and predictable funding. According to the Shipbuilders Council of America, 94 percent of its members will have to halt hiring if the government continues to operate under a continuing resolution.

your assertion that the Republicans are holding up lots of important legislation passed by the house is correct

The House has been conducting business while the Intelligence and now Judiciary Committees conducted their investigations. Members even left the hearings on occasion to cast votes. I don't think you can blame congressional failures on this investigation since they fail to complete this work every year.

Just because Trump SAID it wasn't a QPQ doesn't mean it wasn't.

You see how that works?

We are not about to take his word for it when he won't let the key witnesses testify.

You wouldn't do that for Obama.

Hello Flash,

I don't think you can blame congressional failures on this investigation since they fail to complete this work every year.

The House has sent tons of great legislation to the Senate but McConnel will not even bring it up for a vote, nor even any discussion.

The story that the impeachment is holding up Congress is propaganda straight out of the WH. Don't believe it.

normally it would be just plain "do nothings" - but now add in the colossal waste of time
( votes take debate time as well) for the Schiff show, and POTUS is rightly calling them "Do nothing witch hunts"

Indeed they can't walk and chew gum at the same time

it's direct evidence. you can contest it and say it is a quid but Sond said it wasn't under cross.
And he quoted Trump (direct evidence) which is much more then all the other 2nd and 3rd hand testimony shows

Like Sondland's opinion is the end-all be-all.

It is apparent America's security was compromised as a part of a bribe in order to rig the 2020 election.

Dump Trump.

Executive privilege is clearly defined in the constitution.

On what legal grounds is Schiff hiding the WB?

Whistle blower protection is clearly defined by law, on what grounds are you demanding special treatment for yourTraitor in Cheif?

What about the four hundred bills passed by the House so far and held up by Moscow Mitch?
Why do you hate honesty?

Sondland didn’t say there WAS a QPQ—he *presumed* there was one.

His testimony was worthless. Presumptions don’t count in a court of law. Only evidence counts and democrats don’t have any.

This whole thing is beyond ridiculous.
