This is one seriously depressing election

Democrats blew it this year, big time. Just about any other candidate would probably beat Trump handily. Hillary is the one political figure on the left who those on the right have a truly vitriolic reaction to.

That would be true only if the democrats offered an establishment rejecting candidate---and I can't think of any besides Bernie. The anti-establishment movement transcends party lines.

I mean, I can tell that even the "defend party at all costs" partisans are mailing it in this time.

Such a drag. I know that there ARE people who are genuinely enthusiastic about Trump & the same for Hillary, but I genuinely don't understand either group. I mean, I even understood enthusiasm for GW, because as lame as he was, he at least had a simple & consistent conservative message.

But these are completely uncharted waters. Two incredibly flawed, dishonest candidates, both of whom will basically say anything to get elected. If you're gung ho about either, you really need to take a look at the kind of bar you're setting. No one should be excited about this election.

to act as if they are comparable makes you a fucking liar

you are so fucking pathetic

Pooper- I'll bet you say that to all the samples at scatology classes.

I say it specifically to you because YOU, whether you will own up to it or not, admitted to being a piece of shit in a direct question. You can't get past that and it bothers you to no end. You don't have to own up to it. That doesn't take away from the FACT that YOU ADMITTED to it.

I disagree. The anti-establishment movement is large - but Hillary STILL might win.

Even an establishment candidate stronger than her likely would have coasted. Trump's negatives are practically off the charts. The only thing saving him is the fact that Hillary's are too.

Why do you want to know? You setting me up for some sort of insult-fest?

It wasn't Obama, and it wasn't Romney. I don't owe you more detail than that.

Then you answered my question. A simple no would suffice, smartass.

I don't think you owe me anything.

Fallacious foolery from the forum feces fan. Change hands.

You're smart enough to understand someone finally saying no to the job destroying qualities of globalization stupidity. Why are you playing dumb?

Dems from Wilson to Obama created the modern DC establishment, so, to say that the movement transcends party lines is a tad disingenuous. Still, nice to see some of you ex-Dems finally owning-up to your legacy.

they keep claiming your liberal

you are not

you are moderate republican in your views

why does it trouble you so when I point that out?

Yes, a moderate Republican who votes for Obama, was against the Iraq War and makes dozens and dozens of anti-Trump comments.

I mean, I try not to get caught up in this stuff, since I ultimately don't care about appeasing anyone here in terms of being "accepted" or seen a certain way.

But I'm definitely a screaming lefty about some things. I wish I did align w/ a certain party, since it would seem easier in a way.

I know I do it so I'm not above it but not everyone fits politically into neat little boxes no matter how hard we try to put them in one.

For instance, how does a "blue state" like Wisconsin have one "red" and one "blue" Senator along with a "red" Governor? Clearly not everyone in the state is voting straight party line every election.
